New Year’s Eve Odd Couple Set to Do It Again

A set of seemingly mismatched TV hosts will reunite Dec. 31 to reprise their collaboration on a TV New Year’s Eve celebration. TVNewser.com reports that newsman Anderson Cooper and comedian Kathy Griffin will again co-host CNN’s annual New Year’s Eve telecast.

It will be the pair’s seventh consecutive year co-hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve program live from Times Square, the story says. They’ve had many noteworthy moments during that run, such as when Griffin slipped in the "F" word on-air in 2009, the piece notes.

Then there was last year’s telecast, "when Griffin engaged in some good-natured sexual shenanigans, recoiling Cooper back in utter embarrassment," the report adds.

And in 2008, the piece reports, "Griffin heckled a crowd member who shouted at her, saying, ‘Why don’t you get a job buddy. You know, I don’t go to your job and knock the d—s out of your mouth.’”
