One of the judges on NBC’s “The Voice” won’t be returning to the singing competition. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that singer CeeLo Green made the revelation to Ellen DeGeneres in an interview airing today, Wednesday.

“I don’t want to wear out my welcome there," Green said. "You know what I’m saying? I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven’t released an album in four years. I’m almost done with my album."

Green said he will “continue my relationship with NBC,” noting that he has a TV show development deal with the network and may have some “other talk show opportunities for later this year.”

“The Ellen DeGeneres Show” taped the interview with Green, who was joined by Lionel Richie. The two artists are launching a tour together, called “All the Hits All Night Long.”

Green was a judge on the first three seasons of “The Voice” and its fifth season. The show will return Feb. 24 for its sixth season. The judges’ panel includes Shakira, Usher, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
