NBC has pulled a struggling comedy series from its prime-time schedule. Writing on Deadline.com, Nellie Andreeva reports that the program, “The Michael J. Fox Show,” has not yet been officially canceled.

“Production on ‘The Michael J. Fox Show’ wrapped in December, and 15 of the 22 completed episodes have aired,” Andreeva writes. “There are no plans for the remaining seven episodes, though the show is not officially canceled, and NBC brass will try to find a spot for it.”

NBC will start airing Olympics coverage in prime time tonight, and the network plans to air “Hollywood Game Night” in the Thursday 9 p.m. hour starting Feb. 27, the first Thursday following the Olympic Games, the piece notes.

The move comes a week after the network canceled “Sean Saves the World,” another comedy. All three of its new comedies have performed poorly, with “Welcome to the Family” already having been canceled.

In their Jan. 24 airings, both “Michael J. Fox” and “Sean” posted an “underwhelming 0.7 in 18-49,” Andreeva writes.
