Turner Broadcasting Finally Answers Advertisers’ Cries of ‘I Want My Yabba Dabba Doo’ and ‘I’ve Got My Honey Boo Boo, But Where’s My Boo Boo Bear?’ Boomerang Cartoon Service to Finally Take Commercials

"[T]he all-cartoon-classics Boomerang [network] will be … introduced officially this year for ad sales and promotional opportunities in the United States."

This announcement was made this morning, Feb. 4, 2014, by Turner Broadcasting’s Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media division, which Turner calls AYAKM.

According to the announcement, "Boomerang is TBS Inc.’s 24-hour cable/satellite network offering the best in classic animated entertainment. In partnership with Cartoon Network, the service boasts 75 percent unduplicated programming and is available to cable/satellite operators and their customers in Spanish."

The official Boomerang website notes that some of the classic cartoon shows on the network include "The Flintstones," "The Yogi Bear Show," "Tom and Jerry," "The Smurfs," "Popeye" and "The Pink Panther and Pals."
