Drew Carey and Craig Ferguson to Trade Places

Craig Ferguson and Drew Carey are trading places. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the two TV hosts will swap jobs in honor of April Fools’ Day.

“Hey, Craig Ferguson and I, for April Fools’, are switching jobs. He’s going to host ‘The Price Is Right’ and I’m gonna host ‘The Late Late Show,’” Carey said. The two men announced their plan on Monday’s episode of “The Late Late Show,” the story says.

Ferguson added, “Now this is for April Fools’, so don’t tell anyone!"

Carey will interview Carl Reiner and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Connie Schultz on the April 1 “Late Late Show” episode, while Joan Jett will perform. Ferguson’s stint on “The Price Is Right” means he will be only the fourth person to host the game show, following Dennis James, Bob Barker and Carey.

Ferguson will bring his sidekicks — Geoff Peterson and the pantomime horse Secretariat — with him on “The Price Is Right.”

Carey and Ferguson go back, with Ferguson playing Carey’s boss on the ABC sitcom "The Drew Carey Show" from 1996-2004.
