'Glee' Reaches a Milestone as Another Fox Series Sinks to an All-Time Ratings Low; NBC Celebrates a Tuesday Record

While one prime-time Fox series celebrated a milestone Tuesday night, another one sank to a historic low, based on Nielsen overnights for the key 18-49 demo.

TVbytheNumbers.com reports that "Glee" marked its 100th episode with a ratings rebound, improving 22% to a 1.1 average rating after setting a series low last week. But "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" slipped to a series low of its own, also a 1.1, falling 8% from a week ago. Fox wound up in fourth place among the big four networks.

Winning the night was NBC, with "The Voice" continuing to set the pace. The singing competition matched last week's 3.5 average in 18-49 to easily place as the top show of the night on broadcast prime.

NBC announced that its win in viewers 18-49 among the big four broadcast nets was a network record 18th Tuesday win -- the most in-season Tuesday night wins for the network in People Meter history.

While NBC's "Chicago Fire" was flat with a 1.9 average in the 18-49 demo, both "About a Boy" and "Growing Up Fisher" saw improvements over last week: "Boy" rose 10% to a 2.2, while "Fisher" ticked up 6% to a 1.8.

Second-place CBS got solid results from its drama lineup, with "NCIS" delivering a 2.4 average in 18-49, down 4% from its most recent original installment; "NCIS: Los Angeles" rising 10% to a 2.3; and "Person of Interest" up 6% with a 1.8.

ABC's special "Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe" managed only a 1.4 in adults 18-49, 33% below what "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." pulled in the time slot a week ago. "Mind Games" was also down, falling 13% to a 0.7 up against NBC's "Chicago Fire" and CBS's "Person of Interest" in the tough 10 p.m. slot.

ABC's comedies both saw improvement, with "The Goldbergs" ticking up 7% from last week to a 1.6 and "Trophy Wife" rising 11% to a 1.0.

For prime time overall, NBC's 2.5 average led the way in the 18-49 demo, followed by CBS (2.1 average), ABC (1.1), and Fox and Univision (both 1.0). CBS came through with a big win in total viewers, averaging 14.0 million to lead NBC (9.1 million), ABC (3.3 million), Univision (2.7 million) and Fox (2.4 million).
