NBC rolled to a dominant Monday night ratings win, based on Nielsen overnights for the key 18-49 demo. TVbytheNumbers.com reports that the network’s two-hour "The Voice" powered a big win in the demo, while ABC squeaked ahead in total viewers on the strength of "Dancing with the Stars."

CBS, meanwhile, saw its entire prime-time lineup improve from a week ago.

"The Voice" finished as the top show of the night on broadcast prime in the 18-49 demo, despite losing significant ground from last week. The singing competition delivered a 3.4 average rating, off a half-point from a week earlier. NBC’s "The Blacklist" ticked up two-tenths to a 2.9.

Head-to-head against "The Voice," ABC’s two-hour "Dancing with the Stars" saw a half-point decline to a 2.2 average in adults 18-49, but the show led all of broadcast prime in total viewers with 14.25 million (to 12.65 million for "The Voice"). ABC’s "Castle" drifted down one-tenth to a 1.7 in 18-49.

CBS kicked off prime time with the second-to-last installment of its hit comedy "How I Met Your Mother," which surged a half-point from a week ago to a 3.4 average in viewers 18-49.

The rest of CBS’s prime-time programs also rose in the 18-49 demo: "2 Broke Girls" was up one-tenth from last week to a 2.3 average, "Mike & Molly" climbed two-tenths to a 2.0 (after recording an all-time low last week), "Mom" ticked up one-tenth to a 1.8 (also from a series low), and "Intelligence" rose one-tenth to a 1.2.

Fox held steady, with both "Bones" and "The Following" duplicating last week’s numbers in adults 18-49: a 1.4 for "Bones" and another 1.4 for "The Following," which equals its series low.

For prime time overall, NBC’s 3.4 average was the class of the field in the 18-49 demo, followed by ABC (2.1 average), CBS (2.0), Fox (1.4) and Univision (1.2). ABC led the way in total viewers with 12.8 million, ahead of NBC (12.1 million), CBS (6.9 million), Fox (5.0 million) and Univision (3.1 million).
