Public Radio Star to Host Peabody Awards

The 2014 Peabody Awards, which honor television and radio stations, networks, production companies and individuals, will be hosted by “This American Life” creator Ira Glass, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The event will be held May 19 at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, with portions of the ceremony televised on the Pivot cable network. Glass’s radio program “This American Life” is a previous Peabody Award winner, the piece notes.

Glass will announce some of this year’s winners April 2 on “CBS This Morning,” the story notes.
