Sports Emmy Nominees Announced TVWeek
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced the nominees for the 35th Annual Sports Emmy Awards, which will be presented Tuesday, May 6, 2014, in a ceremony at New York's Lincoln Center. Among the highlights, Ted Turner will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
ESPN leads the way among networks with 30 nominations, followed by Fox with 18, HBO Sports with 15, NBC and NBC Sports Network with 14 apiece, MLB Network with 13, CBS with 11 and NFL Network with 10.
More than 180 nominees were announced in 39 categories, including Outstanding Live Sports Special, Live Series, Sports Documentary, Studio Show, Promotional Announcements, Play-by-Play Personality and Studio Analyst.
