“Bachelorette” contestant Eric Hill died Wednesday after a paragliding accident in Utah, reports ABC News. He was 31.

As we reported earlier this week, Hill was critically injured in the accident Sunday and was placed in a medically induced coma.

“Eric shared his final journey with us this morning as all his immediate family were able to be at his side when he passed away," Karen Tracy, his sister, wrote on Facebook.

Hill, who is a contestant on the upcoming season of ABC's “Bachelorette,” was hospitalized after his parachute collapsed while he was paragliding. He reportedly had already been eliminated from the show when the accident happened, and the incident didn’t occur during taping, CBS News reports.

The show returns to ABC May 19.
