Dick Clark Productions Names New EVP of Programming and Development

A veteran TV executive has been named executive vice president of programming and development for dick clark productions.

Company president Mike Mahan announced the appointment of Mark Bracco to the post.

"In the newly created role, Bracco will oversee programming and development for the company that includes such perennial hits as the 'American Music Awards,' 'Billboard Music Awards,' 'Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest' and a variety of other projects at various stages of production. He will be based in the company’s Santa Monica headquarters and will report directly to Mahan," the company said in its announcement.

Added Mahan: “Mark has a phenomenal breadth of experience working with a variety of alternative and special programming, as well as extensive experience with dick clark properties. As dick clark productions expands our television footprint, Mark will play a significant leadership role within the company.”

Said Bracco: “It is an honor to work for such a historic company as dick clark productions, under the leadership of Allen Shapiro and Mike Mahan, who are responsible for some of the biggest television events in the world. My first love is live television and dcp is the preeminent producer of live events on television. This is a dream come true.”

The announcement notes: "Most recently, Mr. Bracco served as Vice President, Alternative Series and Specials, ABC Entertainment, where he oversaw specials and worked on various series for the network including the 'Oscars,' 'CMA Awards,' 'American Music Awards,' 'Dick Clark’s New Years’ Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest,' 'Shark Tank,' 'Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution,' 'Supernanny,' and 'The Mole.'”
