Fox News Channel is creating a new panel program called “Outnumbered,” which will use the “gender hook” of featuring four women and one man discussing issues, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The new show will air at noon, splitting “Happening Now,” which is anchored by Jon Scott and Jenna Lee, into two one-hour blocks, at 11 am. and 1 p.m., the story says.

Said Jay Wallace, senior vice president of news: “’Outnumbered’ combines a distinctive group of Fox talent with unique experiences and insights that will make for compelling news programming. We look forward to once again pushing the envelope with the addition of this new show and are confident the revised lineup will only strengthen the FNC brand."

Female-focused panel shows such as ABC’s “The View” and CBS’s “The Talk” have performed well, while Fox has also found success with its panel program “The Five,” which is now the second-most-watched program on all of cable news.

“Outnumbered” will feature a rotating panel, although “Fox Report Weekend” anchor Harris Faulkner and Fox Business Network’s Sandra Smith will be among the panelists, the story notes.
