ABC's top-ranked morning show "Good Morning America" is reaching into its own ranks to find its newest co-host. Joining Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos as a co-host will be Lara Spencer, EW.com reports.

"Spencer has been on the show as a lifestyle anchor, a position created just for her, since 2011, but before that, she was a national correspondent for 'Good Morning America' from 1999 to 2003," the story reports.

The report adds: "This isn’t the only 'GMA' news this week: 'Live! With Kelly and Michael' co-host and former football star Michael Strahan officially announced April 15 that he’ll be joining the hosts a few times a week while still keeping his 'Live!' gig."
