HBO Series Goes on Hiatus

A new HBO series is taking a short hiatus after taping its sixth episode. Deadline.com reports that the pay-cable channel's upcoming show “The Leftovers” apparently just needed a break from a tough production schedule.

The 10-episode drama, which comes from Damon Lindelof of “Lost,” will halt production for less than two weeks, which isn’t expected to impact the premiere date for the show. “The Leftovers” is set to debut June 15, after the season finale of “Game of Thrones.”

“We put ourselves on a tight schedule, and we decided to give our production a short hiatus to prep our final episodes,” HBO said in a statement.

The series, based on Tom Perrotta’s book of the same name, is about the people who are left behind on Earth after the Rapture.
