Report: 'Lindsay' Won't Be Renewed -- and Nobody Told Lindsay Lohan Daily Mail
Oprah Winfrey’s OWN cable channel has decided not to renew the reality show “Lindsay,” and the U.K. publication The Daily Mail reports that executives had not told the show's star, Lindsay Lohan. Somehow, we suspect she has heard about it by now.
The series, which bowed March 9 and is close to wrapping its eight-episode run, tracks Lohan's rehabilitation efforts and her struggle to get her career back on track.
“So far only her head TV network executives know, while Lindsay has been kept guessing if she will return. The part reality show/ documentary turned into a 'meltdown' rather than a comeback series,” the story reports. “Insiders say Oprah is livid with Lindsay, 27, for her behavior on the shows and for leaks of trashy stories about the show and her rumored sex list.”
OWN had hoped to make the show a long-term series, but executives were troubled by the show’s low ratings and reports about Lohan’s private life in other media outlets. Winfrey will reportedly inform Lohan later this month that the show is over, the story says.
Representatives for Lohan and Winfrey’s OWN declined to comment.
