Spike TV has announced the renewal of an unscripted series. Deadline.com reports that the cable channel placed a 10-episode order for a second season of “Catch a Contractor."

Hosted by Adam Carolla, the second season will air in the fall. The network is also extending the show to one hour, double the length of its current half-hour.

With contractor Skip Bedell and his wife, investigator Alison Bedell, Carolla tracks down shady and evasive contractors who have made disasters of their jobs and makes them finish the projects, the story says. Carolla himself is a master carpenter.

The show debuted March 9 and is averaging 1.2 million viewers.
