One of the stars of NBC's “30 Rock” is joining the cast of the network's new Tina Fey comedy series. Writing on Deadline.com, Nellie Andreeva reports that actress Jane Krakowski will be a part of Fey's new NBC show “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt."

Fey and fellow “30 Rock” executive producer Robert Carlock are behind the project, which stars Ellie Kemper ("The Office") as Kimmy, who decides to leave a cult after 15 years and head to New York City. Krakowski will play the wealthy Upper West Side mom who hires the character as a nanny.

“I hear the casting came together very quickly after Fox last Wednesday opted not to proceed with Krakowski’s comedy pilot ‘Dead Boss,’” Andreeva notes.

Krakowski's character was previously played by Megan Dodds, although the scene was reshot with Krakowski, the piece adds.
