CBS has given up on a number of its series. The Los Angeles Times' Show Tracker reports that the network has pulled the plug on four shows, including yanking the comedy “The Crazy Ones” after one season.

The show marked a short return to TV for star Robin Williams, the report notes. Three decades ago, Williams gained legions of fans through “Mork & Mindy,” a television show on which he played the wacky alien Mork. With “The Crazy Ones,” he returned to TV after focusing on films such as “Good Morning Vietnam,” the story notes.

The CBS comedy, which also stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, struggled with ratings and received mixed reviews, the piece adds.

The network also canceled the comedies “Bad Teacher" and “Friends With Better Lives,” and canceled the drama “Hostages.”

The network renewed “The Mentalist,” which had been on the bubble, for a seventh season.
