Columbia Records Drops ‘Glee’ Star Amid Rumors of Turmoil on the Fox Show

One of the stars of the Fox musical series “Glee” has been dropped from her deal with Columbia Records. Billboard.com reports that the company dumped Naya Rivera, whom Columbia signed in 2011.

The actress, who plays Santana Lopez on the Fox show, hadn’t released a full-length record with the label, although she was one of the first actors from "Glee" to sign a solo record deal, the story notes. Her debut single, “Sorry,” failed to land on the Hot 100 chart, the piece notes.

Rumors have surfaced that Rivera was fired from “Glee,” although her representatives have denied that, as previously reported.
