The Disney Channel has committed to another season of a comedy series that has been a hit with tween viewers. The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed reports that the cable channel ordered a fourth season of "Jessie."
The program, which stars Debby Ryan as a nanny to a wealthy family, is currently in its third season, with Ryan slated to direct an episode. The fourth season will begin production in August, with a premiere planned in January 2015.
The show is one of the most-watched programs for tweens, drawing about 1.2 million viewers in that demographic. It featured first lady Michelle Obama in an April episode.
