E! Entertainment has decided not to go ahead with a drama project. Deadline.com reports that the cable channel took a pass on the music-themed pilot “Songbyrd,” from Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.

The project was one of two scripted pilots at E!, the network’s first, the story says. The other scripted pilot is “The Royals,” which was picked up to series in early march.

“Songbyrd” was created by Krista Vernoff and features a songwriter inspired by Diane Warren. It stars Bethany Joy Lenz as the songwriter and Rumer Willis as her sister.
