Four more prime-time programs on the big four broadcast networks sank to all-time ratings lows Wednesday night, based on Nielsen overnights for the key 18-49 demo, after a number of shows set historic low marks the previous night.

TVbytheNumbers.com reports that Fox's two-hour "American Idol" set an all-time low mark for a Wednesday installment of the singing competition, while NBC's "Revolution" and ABC's "Suburgatory" and "The Middle" sank to new series lows. CBS came out relatively unscathed, winning the night as its lineup was mostly up from a week ago.

"Idol" fell two-tenths of a ratings point from last week, settling for a 1.7 average in adults 18-49. "Revolution" also lost two-tenths, for an all-time worst 1.1, and "Suburgatory" plummeted three-tenths to a record-low 1.2. "The Middle" fell three-tenths to a 1.5.

CBS was paced by "Survivor," which held steady to last week's number in the 18-49 demo, a 2.4. "Criminal Minds" ticked up one-tenth to a 2.3 after slipping to a series low last week, and "CSI" rose two-tenths to a 1.9. CBS had broadcast prime's top three programs in total viewers, paced by "Criminal Minds" with 10.43 million.

ABC had the highest-rated show of the night in "Modern Family," even as the series matched the season low it delivered last week in the 18-49 demo, a 2.8 average. "Mixology" came in with another 1.3 average, the same as last week, while "Nashville" equaled last week's series-low 1.2.

Along with "Revolution's" new series low, NBC suffered through two ties for all-time series lows, as "Law & Order: SVU" plunged four-tenths of a point to a 1.4 while "Chicago PD" lost a half-point to also register a 1.4.

For prime time overall, CBS easily won the night in the 18-49 demo with a 2.2 average rating, followed by Fox (1.7 average), ABC (1.5) and NBC (1.3). CBS also won total viewers, averaging 10.1 million to top Fox (7.8 million), ABC (5.3 million) and NBC (4.8 million).
