The co-creator of Showtime's “Nurse Jackie” has been tapped as executive producer and showrunner on NBC’s new comedy “Bad Judge.” Deadline.com reports that Liz Brixius got the job.

The role is part of her overall deal with Universal Television, the studio behind the project.

The series stars Kate Walsh as one of Los Angeles’ toughest judges, but who also has a wild side. Brixius most recently created the NBC comedy pilot “Girlfriend in a Coma.”
