SAG-AFTRA took the wraps off the combined trade union's new logo today. Deadline.com reports that the new design was approved in a 2-1 vote by the union's national board.
"The new look was conceived and designed by veteran branding company Siegel+Gale," the story reports. "Looking vaguely like something a European political party would use, the logo is meant to exemplify SAG-AFTRA’s 'primary brand attributes — strength, excellence and unity,' according to the union."
The union, which merged a little more than two years ago, is set to launch its first major contract negotiation, with the Alliance of Motion Picture and TV Producers, on Monday, the piece notes.
