Telemundo Unveils 800 Hours of Original Programming Deadline
Telemundo has lined up more than 800 hours of original programming across its platforms for its 2014-15 schedule, Deadline.com reports.
The new shows were revealed during Telemundo's upfront presentation at New York’s Frederick P. Rose Hall by Joe Uva, chairman of Telemundo’s parent, NBCUniversal’s Hispanic Enterprises and Content, the story notes. The new programming includes five new prime-time novelas and a new Sunday night musical competition series.
Uva also introduced new programming for mun2, the story adds. Next year, it will broadcast the NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series and will also introduce original scripted series, the report notes.
“With our continued commitment to high-quality content and innovation, new leadership at the helm of the Telemundo network and mun2, and the power of NBCUniversal, no other media company is better positioned now and for the future to grow and super-serve our audience, our advertising partners and our distributors,” Uva said at the event.
