'True Detective' Tops List of TCA Awards Nominees -- Here's the Complete List LA Times
HBO's "True Detective," starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, leads the list of nominees for this year's Television Critics Association Awards with four nominations, the Los Angeles Times reports.
"The hit HBO anthology series was nominated for program of the year, outstanding achievement in movies, miniseries and specials, and outstanding new program, and Matthew McConaughey was singled out for individual achievement in drama," the report notes.
Close behind are "The Good Wife," "Breaking Bad" and "The Americans," with three nominations apiece.
Other shows on the list include some awards show perennials, such as "Louie," "Game of Thrones," "The Big Bang Theory," "The Daily Show" and "Sesame Street," the report notes.
The piece adds: "And a crop of newcomers are making their mark: Logo’s 'RuPaul’s Drag Race,' Netflix’s critically acclaimed women’s prison dramedy 'Orange Is the New Black,' FX’s small-screen adaptation of the Coen brothers' 'Fargo,' and Fox all-stars 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' and 'Sleepy Hollow,' as well as ABC Family's 'The Fosters.'"
The awards will be presented July 19 in Beverly Hills.
