With the networks having announced their fall schedules, the landscape resembles “a ‘Walking Dead’ episode,” Nellie Andreeva writes on Deadline.com, adding that “among the countless bodies strewn around, a few are still standing.”

Pilots that are still in contention at the networks where they were developed include Fox’s “Cabot College” and “Sober Companion”; CBS’s “Gaffigan”; “Old Soul” at NBC; and “Agent X” at TNT, which is being retooled, Andreeva reports.

Even though the CW's “Supernatural” spinoff “Supernatural: Bloodlines” isn’t moving forward, the network will work on another spinoff of the long-running drama next season.

As far as series that are being shopped outside their networks, “How I Met Your Dad,” which was passed over at CBS, is leading the group, the story adds. Digital services such as Netflix as well as competing broadcasters are likely to be interested, Andreeva notes.

Other pilots that are expected to be shopped outside their original networks include ABC’s “Keep it Together” and “Saint Francis,” which stars Michael Imperioli. The NBC project “The Pro,” starring Rob Lowe,” is also being shopped.

Among shows that were canceled, ABC’s “Suburgatory” is being shopped to other networks. While NBC’s “Community” isn’t being shopped, it’s reportedly receiving interest from other outlets, Andreeva adds.
