Amazon Studios is ramping up its slate of new comedy projects. Deadline.com reports that the studio ordered two additional comedy pilots: “Salem Rogers: Model of the Year 1998” and “Down Dog."
“Salem Rogers” is from actress-writer Lindsey Stoddart, and focuses on an arrogant model who leaves rehab after 10 years and meets back up with her ex-assistant, who now writes self-help books that are informed by her years working for the model, the story says.
“Down Dog,” from Robin Schiff of “Are You There, Chelsea?,” is about a yoga instructor who is a slacker and takes on running a yoga studio despite having no experience.
