AMC today announced that it will bring back a drama series for another season. Deadline.com reports that the cable channel renewed the Revolutionary War drama "Turn" for season two.

In its first run of 10 episodes, the show averaged 2 million total viewers weekly, and 709,000 viewers in the key demo of adults 18-49, the story reports. The channel ordered another 10-episode season, set to roll out next spring.

"The season finale of the series starring Jamie Bell, Seth Numrich, Daniel Henshall, Heather Lind, Kevin R. McNally, Meegan Warner, Burn Gorman, Angus MacFadyen, JJ Feild and Samuel Roukin drew 2.2 million total viewers June 8," the story reports.

AMC also announced plans to pair encore telecasts of "Turn" with 'Hell on Wheels' on Saturday nights during the summer.

In the announcement, AMC President Charlie Collier said: “AMC and its creative partners have a track record of nurturing programs we collectively believe in, patiently growing viewership and engagement over time. With 'Turn,' once again we dive in with our partners to build upon this very promising first season.”
