AT&T Takes a Shot at Comcast and Time Warner Cable

AT&T has a point to make about the proposed merger between Comcast and Time Warner Cable, sending out postcard mailers for AT&T U-verse warning consumers that “the two cable companies with some of the poorest overall customer satisfaction scores have announced they are merging,” Variety reports.

The story notes that the mailer doesn’t mention AT&T’s plan to merge with DirecTV. The mailer cites recent findings from the American Customer Satisfaction Index, which ranked subscription-TV and Internet service companies. That survey found that Time Warner Cable scored the worst with customers, while Comcast was tied with Charter Communications for the second-worst result.

AT&T told the publication that the mailer was “one way of informing customers they have a choice of TV providers, and when it comes to customer satisfaction, U-verse is a better choice.”

DirecTV was at the top of the survey, followed by U-verse, the story notes.
