The lineup is changing behind the cameras on a popular ABC drama series. Variety reports some shuffling among the key players behind "Castle."

"Andrew Marlowe, master of detective fiction for ABC’s 'Castle, will turn over primary showrunning duties to exec producer David Amann for the upcoming season as Marlowe spends more time developing new projects for ABC Studios," the story reports. "Marlowe, creator and exec producer of 'Castle,' will still maintain a day-to-day presence on the show."

Amann is a four-year veteran on the show, which has a passionate fan base, the report notes.

Said Marlowe: “David has proven himself to be a tremendous leader and a great steward of our show’s unique voice. I’m excited to continue our creative collaboration as he assumes his new responsibilities."

“Castle,” which stars Nathan Fillion, recently had its most-watched season yet, averaging a 3.1 rating in the key 18-49 demo and 14.3 million total viewers in Nielsen's live-plus-7 metric.
