‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Orange Is the New Black’ Claim Top Critics’ Choice Awards — Here’s the List of Winners

The big winners at the fourth annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards were Netflix’s original series “Orange Is the New Black” and AMC's "Breaking Bad." Deadline.com reports that "Orange" won best comedy series while "Bad" was named best drama series for the second year in a row, beating out competitors including HBO’s “True Detective.”

"True Detective's" Matthew McConaughey returned the favor in the competition for best actor in a drama series, beating "Breaking Bad's" Bryan Cranston to win the award.

“Orphan Black” star Tatiana Maslany won best actress in a drama series, which was a second consecutive win for her, the piece adds.

Best actor in a comedy series went to Jim Parsons in “The Big Bang Theory,” while best actress in a comedy went to Julia Louis-Dreyfus for "Veep."

Kate Mulgrew of “Orange Is the New Black” tied for best supporting actress in a comedy series with Allison Janney of “Mom,” which airs on CBS. Janney also won best guest performer in a drama series for "Masters of Sex." Best guest performer in a comedy series was won by Uzo Aduba in “Orange Is the New Black.”

"Breaking Bad's" Aaron Paul was named best supporting actor in a drama series, with "Scandal's" Bellamy Young winning as best supporting actress in a drama.
