Departing Fox Chief Kevin Reilly May Have Another Job Lined Up Bloomberg
Kevin Reilly, who is leaving Fox Broadcasting as its entertainment chief, is said to be in the running to take on the role of president of Turner Entertainment Networks, Bloomberg reports.
Reilly, 51, plans to leave Fox by the end of the month, as we reported last week, with the move coming after ratings fell at the network. Time Warner, meanwhile, has been planning to fill the post at Turner by year-end.
“Bringing in Reilly would add a veteran programming executive at Turner, operator of the TBS and TNT cable networks, along with TruTV, TCM and the Cartoon Network. TBS and Turner carry original shows including ‘Conan,’ ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ and ‘Falling Skies,’ and are among the most-watched pay-TV channels, according to Nielsen data,” Bloomberg reports.
About 20 candidates are in the running to fill the spot left vacant by Steve Koonin, who departed in April to become the CEO of the Atlanta Hawks, the piece adds.
