Yet another Stephen King-based project is in the works for television, with Lifetime adapting the writer’s novella “Big Driver” as a TV movie, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker.

The TV movie will air this fall, and will star Maria Bello, Olympia Dukakis, rock star Joan Jett and Will Harris. Bello portrays a novelist whose car breaks down, but the man who stops to help her (Harris) turns out to be a serial killer and leaves her for dead. She sets out for revenge.

The project will be directed by Mikael Salomon, who directed TNT’s two-part adaptation of King’s “Salem’s Lot” in 2004.

Current series based on King’s works include CBS’s “Under the Dome,” which will start it second season later this month, and “Haven,” which runs on Syfy.
