MTV has made the decision to bring back a comedy series for another season. EW.com’s Inside TV reports that the cable channel renewed the faux-lesbian comedy “Faking It” for a second season.
The show is about two friends who pretend to be gay in order to gain popularity, the report notes. The scripted comedy ranked as MTV’s highest-rated new series this year, with 14 million viewers each week. It also retained about 90 percent of its lead-in from “Awkward.”
“As we learned during the first season (the finale airs June 10), one of the fakers isn’t exactly pretending anymore,” the story notes.
