Billionaire investor Carlos Slim Helu is considering a bid for Univision Communications, reports the New York Post.

Slim, who is worth $68 billion and whose holdings include other media assets, has the means to buy the entire company, although U.S. regulations limit media ownership by foreigners to 25 percent of a particular company, the story notes.

Comcast and Netflix have also been approached by Univision’s owners, investors including Haim Saban, about buying the U.S. Spanish-language TV network. There was said to be no interest from either company, the piece notes.

Comcast already owns Telemundo, the most significant rival to Univision, while Netflix is starting its own Spanish-language efforts.

As previously reported, Univision’s owners have also approached CBS Corp. and Time Warner Inc. about buying the media company, with a reported price tag of $20 billion.
