Shia LaBeouf Arrested After Incident in Theater NY Post
Actor Shia LaBeouf "went berserk in the audience at the Broadway musical 'Cabaret' Thursday night and was hauled off in handcuffs to a station house -- where he told cops, 'I’ll f--k you up,' called an officer a 'f-g,' and was muzzled with a face mask for spitting, sources said," the New York Post's Page Six reports.
LaBeouf, a Daytime Emmy Award winner in 2003 for his role in the Disney Channel series "Even Stevens," was reportedly slapping theater goers in the back of their heads and was smoking in the Studio 54 theater, law enforcement sources said.
"When cops approached him, he was 'incoherent' and 'very agitated,' they said," the story reports. "He tried to quickly walk away from officers but fell flat on his face, the sources said."
The 28-year-old actor reportedly became belligerent at the police station, insisting that the handcuffs be taken off.
"Cops decided to not take the cuffs off the agitated 'Transformers' star, and he allegedly started spitting, prompting officers to put a face mask on him," the story reports. "LaBeouf then unloaded on the arresting officer and used a homophobic slur."
LaBeouf reportedly said to the officer: “I have millions and millions of dollars and attorneys. I’m going to ruin your career,” then called the officer a “f-g.”
Law enforcement sources said the actor, who has had a series of bizarre incidents in recent years, was charged with criminal trespass, harassment and disorderly conduct.
LaBeouf was reportedly videotaped head-butting a man in London during a bar brawl in January.
"In February, he was seen disheveled, with a paper bag over his head, at the Berlin Film Festival," the report notes. "He was arrested at a Chicago Walgreens in 2007 for refusing to leave the store."
