One of the big 4 broadcast networks is pretty excited about one of its prime-time shows today after Nielsen numbers for the week ending June 8 revealed that the show — NBC's "America's Got Talent" — was the top non-sports telecast on the big 4 in all key measures.
"Excluding sports, 'Talent' ranked #1 among prime-time broadcasts for the week on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key measure — adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers — as well as kids 2-11 and teens 12-17," NBC said in its announcement.
The numbers are based on "live plus same day" figures from Nielsen Media Research.
NBC settled for second place overall for the week behind ABC in the key demo of adults 18-49, and was third overall behind ABC and CBS in total viewers. But the Peacock Network ranks No. 1 for the season to date in adults 18-49, and No. 2 behind CBS in total viewers.
