A five-time Emmy winner and a regular on "Parks and Recreation" are among the latest additions to the cast of Lifetime's upcoming movie “Beautiful and Twisted,” about the murder of the heir to the Fontainebleau hotel fortune, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Lifetime has cast Rob Lowe and Candice Bergen in the movie. Lowe, a regular on NBC's "Parks and Recreation," is a five-time Golden Globe nominee, most recently for "Behind the Candelabra," while Bergen is a five-time Emmy winner for her run on "Murphy Brown" through the mid-1990s. Bergen has a total of nine Emmy nominations, including two for "Boston Legal."

Lowe will portray Ben Novack Jr., who was brutally murdered in Miami in 2009, a crime that shook the city’s elite. Investigators focused on Ben’s wife, Narcy — who is played by Paz Vega in the Lifetime project — as the prime suspect. Narcy Novack was found guilty of murdering her husband in 2012 and was given a life sentence.

Bergen will portray Ben’s mother, Bernice Novack. Lowe will executive produce with Judith Verno, while Teena Booth of “Lizzie Borden” will write the script.

The drama continues Lifetime’s tradition of taking on true-life stories as TV movies, and also brings Lowe back to the network following his starring role in “Drew Peterson: Untouchable,” the piece notes.
