The new leadership plan for the Fox Broadcast Network appears to be set. Writing on Deadline.com, Nellie Andreeva reports that 20th Century Fox Television co-Chairs Dana Walden and Gary Newman will take control of sibling television network Fox.

The move fills the spot that was left vacant by the exit of netowrk Chairman Kevin Reilly earlier this year, the report notes.

Andreeva writes: “This has been one of the worst kept secrets in the TV business, with Walden emerging as an early frontrunner for the Fox job, and the focus gradually shifting to extending her successful partnership with Newman at the studio to running the network."

The report adds: “There had not been that many other names tossed around, with speculation intensifying on Friday that there could be an announcement on Monday [today] but no one would comment. I hear an announcement will likely come tomorrow morning. The network’s TCA presentation is scheduled for next Sunday.”

Several issues need to be ironed out, including the reporting structure, Andreeva notes. Walden and Newman report to Chase Carey, the president and chief operating officer of 21st Century Fox, although Reilly reported to Fox Networks Group's Peter Rice.

It’s likely that Walden and Newman will report to Rice under the new management arrangement.
