A broadcast reality series has been canceled after it failed to catch on with viewers during its short run. The Associated Press reports that “Famous in 12,” whose premise included trying to make its cast famous, was canceled by the CW.

TMZ’s Harvey Levin, an executive producer of the show, told the cast members on Tuesday’s episode that it was being pulled because not enough people were watching, the story notes. The show debuted June 3 and had been slated for a three-month run.

The show featured the Artiaga family of Beaumont, Calif., who were selected for the show when producers chose their submitted video out of 10,000 entries.
