CBS News is attempting to keep the government from accessing portions of an interview with prosecuted Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich in a First Amendment case between the network and a military court, the New York Times reports. A Navy-Marine Corps Court of Appeals ruled that the government should be allowed to view the material, but CBS plans to file an appeal, the newspaper says. Sgt. Wuterich spoke out about the death of 24 Iraqi civilians in an interview with “60 Minutes” for “The Killings of Haditha,” TelevisionWeek reported.
