Austin Nichols, who played the title character on HBO’s short-lived “John From Cincinnati” and a teacher on NBC’s “Friday Night Lights,” is joining the cast of The CW’s “One Tree Hill,” TV Guide reports. Details of the role have not yet been confirmed by the network, but some accounts have him playing a film producer looking to adapt Lucas’ first novel.
