Steve Tann, the head of current programming at ABC, has left the studio, the Hollywood Reporter says. Tann had held the role since 2005 and leaves after the network said Thursday it will merge ABC and ABC Studios, the Reporter says. Meanwhile, ABC Television Network’s top research executive, Michael Mellon, has stepped down and has been replaced with former Fox research executive Charles Kennedy, MediaPost reports. Mellon joined ABC in 2003.
