A current “American Idol” hopeful is already under fire for her inclusion in the competition, MSNBC.com reports. Joanna Pacitti has already appeared in Broadway’s “Annie,” on various film soundtracks and even released her own album, “This Crazy Life,” on Geffen, the site says. Pacitti was given a ticket to the Hollywood round of the reality show, though many fans have expressed their concern that this potential “Idol” has already had several chances at fame, MSNBC says.

  1. Joanna Pacitti could get through at least a few rounds of American Idol on looks alone

  2. I’m not sure I see the problem. She’s pretty and talented and has clearly fallen through the Hollywood cracks. Idol’s given her a second chance. I think it’s a great story that could make great television in the weeks to come.

  3. I wondered that too when they said she had already released an album… I thought the rule was that they do not allow “professionals” in the competition.
    Current or past professionals.
Be interested to hear what happened to her that she lost all that the first time around , just out of curiousity.
Hey , the Olympic were better once they included professional athletes into the amateur mix, right?
I mean we kicked everyones butt after that…
I think it would be in the shows best interest if she lost, rather than wins the competition.
If she wins, people will start crying “FIX”!
