President Barack Obama reiterated his opposition to reinstating the Fairness Doctrine, which would force broadcasters to devote equal time to both sides of controversial issues, Broadcasting & Cable reports, citing an e-mail from a White House representative. David Axelrod, adviser to Mr. Obama, recently declined to comment on any potential Federal Communications Commission action on the doctrine, B&C says.
