Jason Mesnick of “The Bachelor” and Molly Malaney, the runner-up whom he chose after breaking off with fiancee Melissa Rycroft, skipped the series’ traditional conference call with reporters on Wednesday, the New York Post reports. ABC representatives said they had “last-minute schedule changes” but declined to specify what was keeping them busy, the tabloid says. On the call, executive producer Mike Fleiss said the show’s producers didn’t create the finale’s outcome, which prompted viewer anger yet also gave the show the highest rating for its timeslot, the Associated Press reports.
