CBS-owned duopoly KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV and the Los Angeles Newspaper Group are teaming up for a series of DTV preparedness tests and education campaigns over a 24-hour period this week, TVNewsday reports. As part of the initiative, the two TV stations will conduct analog shutoff tests during each of their combined 13 weekday newscasts beginning Wednesday evening and concluding Thursday afternoon, the site says. The next day, several local newspapers will publish extensive DTV coverage, TVNewsday adds.
