With NBC’s new nurse drama “Mercy,” joining the other newish nurse-centric shows, maybe we have a trend here that’s a sign of a week economy, reports TVGuide.com.
"It really felt like a way to depict real working women," Liz Heldens, creator of “Mercy,” tells TVGuide.com. "These girls are drinking beer in New Jersey, not martinis in Manhattan. I mean, look, they manage to pull it together and look fantastic but they don’t have a ton of money."
