Legendary New York City news anchor Ernie Anastos, now with Fox’s WNYW, dropped and F-bomb, live, during the station’s 10 p.m. newscast Wednesday night, reports B&C.

Bantering with the show’s weatherman, Anastos said "Keep f—ing that chicken." The Associated Press speculated that he meant to say, "Keep plucking that chicken."

The incident, a clip of which quickly went viral, came after 10 p.m., so it’s not indecent as far as the FCC is concerned. It came the same day as Fox corporate officials filed a court brief opposing the FCC’s finding of indecency against Fox over comments by Nicole Richie and Cher during the 2002 and 2003 Billboard Music Awards.
